Matthew A. Nejad, DDS
3 CE Units (Core)
Traditional permanent restoration approaches (amalgam fillings, metal-ceramic crowns, metallic inlay/onlay restorations) do not even remotely restore natural tooth properties or performance, resulting in complications and failures requiring more aggressive and invasive treatments over time. The biomimetic approach mimics natural mechanics, function, and esthetics while preserving the pulp vitality of the tooth.
An intact natural tooth has the perfect combination of properties: dentin, enamel, DEJ. These three uniquely distinct material layers combine to perform incredibly.Dr. Nejad’s presentation will enhance your understanding of…
♦ their properties and how they come together to form a strong "biological-bond" creating the basis for ideal restorative treatment objectives
♦ how the intact tooth manages and distributes stresses during function and loading, aids in selecting the best technique to restore strength and performance of the intact tooth as faithfully as possible.
Matthew A. Nejad, DDS graduated UCSC School of Dentistry 2010 where he received advanced training in Adhesive and Biomimetic Dentistry from Pascal Magne.
