Who Are We?

The San Mateo County Dental Society SMCDS Dental Health Foundation SMCDS DHF is a 501(c):(3) charitable non-profit organization founded in 1973, known at that time as Health on Wheels and recognized throughout the county by three subsequent generations of our Brushmobile until 2000 when the bus was retired. Today, SMCDS DHF functions as the Community Outreach arm of SMCDS to promote and improve the oral health of our community by collaborating with and providing financial / professional dental support to county health and education organizations to deliver oral health / dental services to our underserved populations as well as educating both young and old on the importance of oral health to their overall health. SMCDS DHF has been recognized by state and local governments for our deep concern and unselfish dedication to improving dental health among the needy children and elderly of our county.
