SPEAKER BIO

Rowshan Ahani, DDS, MS attended UC Davis, where I received a B.S. degree in Zoology.  After graduation, he spent years working as a Biochemical Technician at Genentech.

It was during his time at Genentech where he decided on a career in Dentistry. He was accepted into UCLA School of Dentistry, where he received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1999. During his dental school years, he found endodontics to be the most difficult, challenging, and confounding aspect of dentistry. So, of course, he decided that this was what he was meant to do for the rest of my life.

He spent the next two years in the Endodontics residency program at SUNY Buffalo where he earned his endodontics specialty certificate as well as a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology. He was thrilled to move back home to sunny California! After returning, he worked as an associate endodontist for 3 years until, in October 2004, we opened Bayside Endodontics in Daly City.

When he is away from the office, he spends as much time as possible with my wife, Tina (also a dentist!), and their three teenage boys.  He is a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.   When he is not in the office or with his family, you can usually find him on the jiu-jitsu mats.
